Prominent Bangladeshi Qari Recites Quran at Iran’s Int’l Contest (+Video)   

IQNA – Ahmed bin Yusuf al-Azhari, a Bangladeshi Quran expert, is a member of the panel of judges in the final stage of Iran’s International Quran Competition this year.

On the first day of the competition, the eminent qari performed an honorary recitation at the venue the Quranic event, namely the Tehran Summit Hall.

He recited Verses 22-29 of Surah Al-Mutaffifin as well as Surahs An-Nas and Al-Fatiha.

Iran’s 40th International Quran Competition began on Thursday with the participation of Iranian officials and Quran enthusiasts from around the world.

According to the organizers, more than 110 countries registered for the competition and 69 finalists from 40 countries qualified for the final round after a preliminary screening.

The competition will continue until Tuesday, February 20, and the winners will be announced and awarded at the closing ceremony on Wednesday, February 21.
